With over two decades of experience in the restaurant industry, Marc Bernard was ready to pursue his dream of owning a farm when he stumbled on a small, foreclosed property in 2011.

Armed with a lifelong passion for botany, a professional chef’s reverence for ingredients, and a sprinkle of chutzpah, Rustic Road Farm was born.

Today, Marc and his Luis farm over 18 acres year round while raising heirloom pigs, free-range chickens, and pasture eggs. As the farm grew into a vibrant hub with a close-knit community of supporters, Marc rekindled his love of cooking. Before long, he began offering a growing array of soups, salads, and baked goods alongside seasonal produce at farmer’s markets.

In 2014, The Soup Company officially emerged, dedicated to providing our community with fresh, delicious, and convenient meals. It represents the evolution of Rustic Road Farm, all while remaining steadfast to Luis and Marc’s core principles: farming should be sustainable, produce should be seasonal, and meals should be simple.
